Swaraj Engines reported a 17% increase in net sales for Sep 17 quarter to Rs 208.66 crore. Company's engine sales witnessed a growth of 11.6% YoY and stood at 24984 units for Sep 17 quarter.
OPM was up by about 50 bps to 16.8%, thus leading a 20% rise in OP to Rs 35.08 crore. Other income was up by 13% to Rs 5.10 crore. Depreciation was higher by 1% to Rs 4.23 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 12.45 crore, up by 22%, PAT for quarter ended Sep 17 stood at Rs 23.50 crore as compared to PAT of Rs 19.25 crore for Sep 16 quarter.
Performance for the 6 months ended Sep 2017
Net sales for 6 months ended Sep 17 stood at Rs 402.64 crore up by 15% YoY. Company's engine sales witnessed a healthy growth of 11% and stood at 48271 units for 6 months ended Sep 17.
OPM was up by 30 bps to 16.7% resulting in a 17% increase in OP to Rs 67.36 crore. Other income was up by 8% to Rs 9.92 crore. Depreciation was up by 4% to Rs 8.45 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 23.83 crore up by 17%, PAT for the 6 months ended Sep 17 stood at Rs 45 crore up by 18%.
The company has completed the capacity enhancement project which has increased its capacity to 120000 p.a from 105000 p.a and commercialization of the same will happen in H2 of FY'18. This capacity expansion has been fully financed through the internal resources.
