The company reported net sales of Rs 91.23 crore, up by 6% YoY for the quarter ended Sep'16. Lower crude oil and copper prices resulted in OPM being higher by 490 bps to 23.2% resulted in OP of Rs 21.20 crore, up by 35% YoY. Other income was up by 66% to Rs 2.43 crore. Depreciation was lower by 13% to Rs 1.24 crore. PBT stood at Rs 22.35 crore, up by 42% YoY. After paying total tax of Rs 7.07 crore up by 42% YoY, PAT for the quarter ended Sep'16 stood at Rs 15.28 crore up by 42% YoY.
Electrical Insulation segment sales were up by 10% to Rs 76.30 crore. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 17.31 crore, up by 44% YoY with PBIT margin of 22.7% as compared to 17.3% for Sep'15 quarter.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 15.60 crore, lower by 1% for Sep'16 quarter on YoY basis. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 3.82 crore, up by 54% on YoY basis with PBIT margin of 24.5% as compared to 15.7% for Sep'15 quarter.
Performance for the 9 months ended Sep'16
The company reported net sales of Rs 279.99 crore, up by 8% YoY for the 9 months ended Sep'16. Lower crude oil and copper prices resulted in OPM being higher by 420 bps to 22.3% resulted in OP of Rs 62.31 crore, up by 33% YoY. Other income was higher by 24% to Rs 5.64 crore. Depreciation was lower by 13% to Rs 1.24 crore. PBT stood at Rs 22.35 crore, up by 42% YoY. After paying total tax of Rs 7.07 crore up by 42% YoY, PAT for the 9 months ended Sep'16 stood at Rs 15.28 crore up by 42% YoY.
Electrical Insulation segment sales were up by 9% to Rs 232.33 crore. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 51.01 crore, up by 38% YoY with PBIT margin of 22% as compared to 17.4% for the 9 months ended Sep'15.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 49.02 crore, up by 4% for the 9 months ended Sep'16 on YoY basis. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 11.10 crore, up by 41% on YoY basis with PBIT margin of 22.6% as compared to 16.7% for 9 months ended Sep'15.
