The company reported net sales of Rs 92.77 crore, up by 7% YoY. Lower crude oil and copper prices resulted in OPM being higher by 830 bps to 19.5% resulted in OP to Rs 18.10 crore, up by 86% YoY. Other income was down by 70% to Rs 1.30 crore. Interest costs stood at Rs 0.02 crore and depreciation was down by 35% to Rs 1.11 crore. PBT stood at Rs 18.27 crore, up by 49% YoY. After paying total tax of Rs 5.64 crore up by 91% YoY, PAT stood at Rs 12.63 crore up by 36%.
Electrical Insulation segment sales were up by 7% to Rs 76.87 crore. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 14.83 crore, up by 117% YoY with PBIT margin of 19.3% as compared to 9.5% for June'14 quarter.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 15.99 crore, up by 8% for June'15 quarter on YoY basis. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 2.99 crore, up by 50% YoY with PBIT margin of 18.7% as compared to 13.4% for June'14 quarter.
Performance for the 6 months ended June 2015
The company reported net sales of Rs 173.20 crore, up by 4% YoY. Lower crude oil and copper prices resulted in OPM being higher by 610 bps to 17.9% resulted in OP of Rs 31.02 crore, up by 58% YoY. Other income was down by 39% to Rs 3.32 crore. Interest costs stood at Rs 0.17 crore and depreciation was down by 11% to Rs 2.76 crore. PBT stood at Rs 31.41 crore, up by 44% YoY. After paying total tax of Rs 10.15 crore up by 57% YoY, PAT stood at Rs 21.26 crore up by 39%.
Electrical Insulation segment sales were up by 5% to Rs 142.81 crore. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 24.99 crore, up by 83% YoY with PBIT margin of 17.5% as compared to 10% for 6 months ended June'14 period.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 31.53 crore, up by 5% for 6 months ended June'15 period on YoY basis. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 5.41 crore, up by 29% YoY with PBIT margin of 17.2% for 6 months ended June'15 period as compared to 14% for six months ended June'14 period.
Performance for the year ended Dec 2014
For the year ended Dec 2014, net sales was up by 12% to Rs 341.45 crore, OPM was down by 30 bps to 12.3% thus restricting the OP growth to 7% to Rs 42.15 crore. Other income was down by 22% to Rs 8.48 crore. Interest costs was up by 35% to Rs 0.24 crore and depreciation was up by 1% to Rs 50.39 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 13.36 crore, up by 4%, PAT for the year ended Dec 2014 stood at Rs 31.61 crore almost flat on YoY basis.
Electrical Insulation segment sales were up by 9% to Rs 279.87 crore. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 30.37 crore, down by 5% YoY with PBIT margin of 10.9% as compared to 12.5% for the calendar year ended Mar'13.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 63.28 crore, up by 29%. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 10.01 crore, up by 79% YoY with PBIT margin of 15.8% as compared to 11.4% for calendar year Mar'13
