Performance for the quarter ended December 014

The top-line inclined by 13% to Rs 644.51 crore. Both the feminine care and health care business posted double digit growth in competitive environment behind superior consumer propositions, strong innovation and the strength of product portfolio.

OPM has inclined by 310 bps to 19.9% due to fall in employee cost by 200 bps to 3.6% and ASP cost by 380 bps to 13.8% of adjusted net sales. As a result, the operating profit increased by 33% to Rs 128.26 crore.

Other income decreased by 23% to Rs 17.08 crore. Depreciation has increased by 84% to Rs 15.87 crore. As a result, PBT has increased by 17% to Rs 129.01 crore.

The tax outgo inclined by 15% to Rs 38.35 crore. The effective tax rate decreased from 30.3% to 29.7%. The net profit has increased by 18% to Rs 90.66 crore due to top-line growth and expansion in operating margin.

Performance for the half year ended December 2014

The top-line inclined by 15% to Rs 1221 crore. OPM has inclined by 100 bps to 17% due to fall in employee cost by 30 bps to 4.5%, ASP spend by 80 bps to 15.6% and other expenses by 100 bps to 16.8% of adjusted net sales. As a result, the operating profit increased by 22% to Rs 207.25 crore.

Other income decreased by 13% to Rs 38.12 crore. Depreciation has increased by 60% to Rs 27.02 crore. As a result, PBT has increased by 10% to Rs 216.73 crore.

The tax outgo declined by 1% to Rs 64.57 crore. The effective tax rate decreased from 33.2% to 29.8%. The net profit has increased by 16% to Rs 152.16 crore due to top-line growth and expansion in operating margin.

The promoters hold 70.64% stake in the company
