Operating profit margin has declined from 10.20% to 10%, leading to 11.68% rise in operating profit to Rs 178.28 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 75.43% to 76.13%. Employee cost decreased from 3.54% to 3.46%. Other expenses fell from 10.96% to 10.91%. Expenses from contract rose from 1.32% to 1.39%.

Other income rose 135.98% to Rs 8.33 crore. PBIDT rose 14.37% to Rs 186.61 crore. Provision for interest fell 3.14% to Rs 8.94 crore.

PBDT rose 15.42% to Rs 177.67 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 5.62% to Rs 14.66 crore.

Profit before tax grew 16.39% to Rs 163.01 crore. Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 41.62 crore, compared to Rs 36.29 crore. Effective tax rate was 25.53% compared to 25.91%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 16.98% to Rs 121.39 crore.

Sales of Segment-Cables segment has gone up 13.47% to Rs 1,611.93 crore (accounting for 86.87% of total sales). Sales of Segment-Stainees Steel Wire segment has gone down 3.23% to Rs 59.03 crore (accounting for 3.18% of total sales). Sales of Segment-EPC project segment has gone up 20.23% to Rs 184.66 crore (accounting for 9.95% of total sales). Inter-segment sales rose Rs 69.75 crore to Rs 73.05 crore.
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 21.70% to Rs 170.21 crore. PBIT of Segment-Cables segment rose 11.07% to Rs 141.46 crore (accounting for 83.11% of total PBIT). PBIT of Segment-Stainees Steel Wire segment rose 2.83% to Rs 3.13 crore (accounting for 1.84% of total PBIT). PBIT of Segment-EPC project segment rose 170.87% to Rs 25.62 crore (accounting for 15.05% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Segment-Cables segment fell from 8.97% to 8.78%. PBIT margin of Segment-Stainees Steel Wire segment rose from 4.98% to 5.30%. PBIT margin of Segment-EPC project segment rose from 6.16% to 13.88%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 8.55% to 9.17%.

Promoters’ stake was 37.10% as of 30 June 2023 ,compared to 38.02% as of 30 June 2022 .
