The company reported net sales of Rs 107.02 crore, which is by 5% on YoY basis, for the quarter ended June 19. OPM was lower by 210 bps to 13.9% resulted in OP fall of 10% to Rs 14.89 crore. Other income was up by 93% to Rs 5.39 crore. Interest cost was Nil as compared to Rs 0.05 crore for June 18 quarter. Depreciation was higher by 17% to Rs 1.83 crore. PBT stood at Rs 18.45 crore, up by 5% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 5.61 crore up by 2%, PAT for June 19 quarter stood at Rs 12.84 crore up by 6% YoY.
Electrical Insulation segment sales stood at Rs 95.87 crore up by 9% YoY and accounted for 88% of total sales. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 14.03 crore, down by 4% YoY with PBIT margin at 14.6%.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 13.25 crore down by 8% YoY and accounted for 12% of total sales. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 1.98 crore, down by 6% on YoY basis with PBIT margin at 14.9%.
Performance for the 6 months ended June 18
Net sales for 6 months ended June 18 stood at Rs 205.52 crore up by 3% YoY. OPM was down by 220 bps to 14.5% resulting in a 10% fall in OP to Rs 29.9 crore. Other income was up by 77% to Rs 9.5 crore. Interest cost stood at Rs 37 lakh and depreciation was up by 17% to Rs 3.66 crore. Thus PBT was flat at Rs 35.37 crore. There was an EO gain of Rs 19.28 crore pertaining to sale of office premises in 6 months ended June 18 as compared to Nil for 6 month ended June 19. Thus, PBT after EO stood at Rs 35.37 crore down by 35% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 10.6 crore down by 24% YoY, PAT for 6 months ended June 19 stood at Rs 24.77 crore, down by 39% YoY.
For the 6 months ended June 19, Electrical Insulation segment sales stood at Rs 181.56 crore up by 8% YoY and accounted for 87% of total sales. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 27.18 crore, down by 4% YoY basis and accounted for 88% of total PBIT with PBIT margin at 15%.
Engineering & Electronics Resins segment sales stood at Rs 26.77 crore down by 16% and accounted for 13% of total sales. PBIT of the segment stood at Rs 3.75 crore, down by 16% on YoY basis with PBIT margin at 14%
