Orchid chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has received tentative approval for Ibandronate sodium 150mg tablets from US food and drug administration (US FDA). Orchid's Ibandronate sodium tablets are generic equivalent of Rohe's Boniva tablets. Boniva tablets are used to treat osteoporosis in women after menopause. Apart from Orchid, Cobalt labs (in 2.5mg strength) and Teva pharma (in 1mg strength) have received tentative approval from US FDA.
