During the month of November 2022, Leather sector's Marketcap decreased -7.93% to Rs 65635.59 crore, compared to 3.27% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 29023268.51 crore.

Sector's share of total listed marketcap moved to 0.23% in November 2022 from 0.25% in October 2022 and 0.23% in November 2021.



In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 7 gainers and 11 losers in the month of Nov 2022. The gainers accounted for 33.33% of sector companies, losers accounted for 52.38% of sector companies, while 3% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were Unimode Overseas (175.39% gain), Liberty Shoes (20.59% gain) and AKI India (11.46% gain).

Of these Bata India Ltd, Super Tannery Ltd, Phoenix International Ltd, Euro Leder Fashion Ltd, Mirza International Ltd, Bhartiya International Ltd, Lehar Footwears Ltd, Sreeleathers Ltd and Amin Tannery Ltd reported rise in net profit attributable to shareholders. Companies like Relaxo Footwears Ltd, Campus Activewear Ltd, Khadim India Ltd and Superhouse Ltd reported fall in net profit attributable to shareholders.

FIIs reduced their shareholding in Relaxo Footwears Ltd from 3.15% to 3.11%.

DIIs increased their shareholding in Mirza International Ltd from 3.11% to 3.74%. DIIs reduced their shareholding in Relaxo Footwears Ltd from 7.06% to 7.00%, Campus Activewear Ltd from 6.27% to 6.09%, Khadim India Ltd from 6.63% to 6.18% and Bata India Ltd from 30.11% to 28.44%.

Promoters increased their shareholding in Mirza International Ltd from 67.91% to 67.95%. Promoters reduced their shareholding in Campus Activewear Ltd from 74.10% to 74.03%.
