During the month of July 2022, Leather sector's Marketcap increased 14.04% to Rs 68029.45 crore, compared to 9.58% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 26746947.78 crore.

Sector's share of total listed marketcap moved to 0.25% in July 2022 from 0.24% in June 2022 and 0.22% in July 2021. 


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 15 gainers and 2 losers in the month of Jul 2022. The gainers accounted for 71.43% of sector companies, losers accounted for 9.52% of sector companies, while 4% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were AKI India        (188.15% gain), Bhartiya Intl.   (35.26% gain) and Campus Activewe. (32.31% gain).

The 2 losers at the bottom were Amin Tannery     (-7.08% fall) and Euro LederFash  (-0.36% fall).

During the month NB Footwear Ltd and Relaxo Footwears Ltd announced their results. Of these Relaxo Footwears Ltd reported rise in net profit attributable to shareholders.



During the month AKI India Ltd became ex-bonus.

FIIs increased their shareholding in Campus Activewear Ltd from 3.69% to 5.27%, Mirza International Ltd from 3.00% to 3.42% and Bata India Ltd from 6.66% to 6.84%. FIIs reduced their shareholding in Relaxo Footwears Ltd from 3.22% to 3.15%, Sreeleathers Ltd from 5.26% to 5.16%, Liberty Shoes Ltd from 0.14% to 0.00%, Khadim India Ltd from 0.17% to 0.00% and Superhouse Ltd from 0.98% to 0.74%.

DIIs increased their shareholding in Mirza International Ltd from 0.04% to 3.11%, Bata India Ltd from 27.41% to 30.11%, Campus Activewear Ltd from 3.64% to 6.27% and Relaxo Footwears Ltd from 6.94% to 7.06%. DIIs reduced their shareholding in Khadim India Ltd from 7.02% to 6.63%.

Promoters increased their shareholding in Sreeleathers Ltd from 74.62% to 74.91% and Euro Leder Fashion Ltd from 40.78% to 40.90%. Promoters reduced their shareholding in Bata India Ltd from 52.96% to 50.16%.
