During the month of July 2022, Glass & Glass Products sector's Marketcap increased 9.05% to Rs 31454.46 crore, compared to 9.58% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 26746947.78 crore.

Sector's share of total listed marketcap moved to 0.12% in July 2022 from 0.12% in June 2022 and 0.09% in July 2021. 



In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 7 gainers and 3 losers in the month of Jul 2022. The gainers accounted for 53.85% of sector companies, losers accounted for 23.08% of sector companies, while 3% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were Borosil   (26.24% gain), Haldyn Glass     (15.12% gain) and Asahi India Glas (11.50% gain).

The 3 losers at the bottom were Sejal Glass      (-14.04% fall), Borosil Renew.   (-5.62% fall) and Triveni Glass    (-1.79% fall).

During the month Triveni Glass Ltd, Asahi India Glass Ltd and Banaras Beads Ltd announced their results. Of these Asahi India Glass Ltd and Banaras Beads Ltd reported rise in net profit attributable to shareholders.

Promoters increased their shareholding in Haldyn Glass Ltd from 57.68% to 57.93% and Triveni Glass Ltd from 5.35% to 5.42%. Promoters reduced their shareholding in Borosil Ltd from 70.44% to 70.40%, Borosil Renewables Ltd from 61.69% to 61.65% and Sejal Glass Ltd from 99.51% to 90.50%.

During the month Annual reports of Borosil Renewables Ltd, Saint-Gobain Sekurit India Ltd, Jai Mata Glass Ltd, Banaras Beads Ltd, Gujarat Guardian Ltd, Sejal Glass Ltd, Lawrence & Mayo India Pvt Ltd, Eye Gear Optics India Pvt Ltd, Owens Corning Industries India Pvt Ltd and Borosil Ltd were updated in Capitaline.
