Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 169.32 points, or 1.01%, to 16,611.75.
On BSE, 7.40 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 9.28 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 40.90 and a low of Rs 38.10 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 48.60 on 10 June 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 29.75 on 13 July 2009.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 7 June 2010, falling 2.56% compared with the Sensex's 0.07% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 4.77% as against 1.26% decline in the Sensex.
The mid-cap telecom tower operator has an equity capital of Rs 959.15 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
The stock had jumped 11.74% in four trading sessions to Rs 39.95 on Monday, 7 June 2010, from a recent low of Rs 35.75 on 1 June 2010, boosted by reports the company is in talks with Reliance Infratel, the telecom tower arm of Reliance Communications, for a strategic partnership.
Earlier, GTL Infrastructure bought Aircel's portfolio of 17,500 telecom towers in January this year.
GTL Infrastructure reported lower net loss of Rs 6.45 crore in Q4 March 2010, lower than a net loss of Rs 7.06 crore in Q4 March 2009. Net sales surged 60.90% to Rs 103.11 crore in Q4 March 2010 over Q4 March 2009.
