KEC Intl bags orders worth Rs 1,304 cr
KEC International on Monday announced that it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,304 crore across its various businesses.

The firm's transmission & distribution (T&D) business has received orders for T&D projects in India, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and Americas.

The orders entails 765 kV transmission line and 765 kV GIS substation orders in India, from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL); 220 kV transmission line order in SAARC and supply of towers, hardware and poles in Americas.

Further, the civil business has secured an order in the residential building segment in India.

The cables business has also bagged orders for supply of various types of cables in India and overseas.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International, said, “The prestigious orders from PGCIL, which have significantly bolstered our India T&D order book. We continue to remain optimistic on the India T&D business, on the back of the continued thrust of Government of India for setting up of renewable energy projects.

The civil business has further expanded its footprint in the residential building segment by securing a repeat order from a reputed real estate developer. We are also encouraged by the healthy order intake in cable business, including our largest order for cable supply from a prominent infrastructure major. With these orders, our YTD order intake stands at approximately Rs 13,000 crore.”

KEC International executes power transmission and distribution, railways, civil and solar projects on an EPC basis. It also manufactures power and telecom cables. KEC is one of the largest power transmission EPC companies in the world with presence in over 70 countries and a strong presence in India, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia the Americas and Central Asia.

On a consolidated basis, net profit of Kec International rose 1.1% to Rs 55.83 crore on 10.7% jump in net sales to Rs 4,499.03 crore in Q2 FY24 over Q2 FY23.

Shares of KEC International rose 1.38% to settle at Rs 622.90 crore on the BSE.
