The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.72% on the day, quoting at 20277.3. The Sensex is at 67498.57, up 0.76%. NTPC Ltd has added around 16.05% in last one month. Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which NTPC Ltd is a constituent, has added around 9.9% in last one month and is currently quoting at 29294.9, up 1.15% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 208.36 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 94.43 lakh shares in last one month. The benchmark December futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 274.2, up 4.38% on the day. NTPC Ltd is up 58.58% in last one year as compared to a 8.46% gain in NIFTY and a 9.63% gain in the Nifty Energy index. The PE of the stock is 14 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
