Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Coal India Ltd is a constituent, has added around 3.97% in last one month and is currently quoting at 28066.25, up 0.98% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 262.54 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 101 lakh shares in last one month. The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 353.85, up 1.16% on the day. Coal India Ltd is up 50.49% in last one year as compared to a 6.66% gain in NIFTY and a 5.91% gain in the Nifty Energy index. The PE of the stock is 14.29 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
