Revenue from operations (excluding excise duty) stood at Rs 247.72 crore in the September quarter, up 69.1% as against Rs 146.52 crore reported in Q2 FY23.
Profit before tax soared 88% to Rs 19.31 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with 10.27 crore registered in the same period last year.
Total expenses spiked 72.74% year on year to Rs 447.13 crore during the quarter. Cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 155.85 crore (up 67.36% YoY) while employee benefits expenses came in at Rs 9.43 crore (up 40.33% YoY) in Q2 FY24.
On half-yearly basis, the company's consolidated net profit jumped 43.1% to Rs 48.52 crore on 57.9% surge in revenue to Rs 632.73 crore in H1 FY24 over H1 FY23.
Som Distilleries & Breweries (SDBL) is primarily engaged in brewing, fermentation, bottling, canning and blending of beer and IMFL. It also supplies draught beer from its plants.
