The appointment was communicated by Ministry of Railways (MOR) vide its order dated 30 August 2023.
Sanjay Swarup is currently the director (international marketing & operations) of the company. He will hold this position till 31 July 2026, which is the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
CONCOR operates 59 terminals across the country along with two strategic tie-ups. The company's primary operation is to provide inland transportation of containers from ports using rail wagons. The company also manages cold storage chains and warehouses.
The company's consolidated net profit slipped 17.3% to Rs 245.56 crore on 3.76% decrease in revenue from operations to Rs 1,922.84 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
The GOI, through the Ministry of Railways, continues to hold a majority stake of 54.8% in the company at the end of June 2023.
