Tanla Platforms slumps on ending pact with Vodafone
Tanla Platforms tumbled 4.65% to Rs 1,048.05 after the company said that its partnership with Vodafone Idea will not continue beyond the initial term of two years, ending in November 2023.
Tanla had entered into a term sheet with Vodafone Idea for provision of platform and firewall services for international A2P services in November 2021, which was valid for a term of 2 years.

The software company said this partnership will not continue beyond its initial term. This would have a revenue impact of around Rs 17 crore and PAT impact of approximately Rs 9 crore on a full-quarter basis post November 2023.

Vodafone Idea is an Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone Group partnership. It is amongst India's leading telecom service provider. The company provides pan India voice and data services across 2G, 3G and 4G platforms. The company holds large spectrum portfolio including mid band 5G spectrum in 17 circles and mmWave 5G spectrum in 16 circles.

Tanla Platforms, one of the world's largest CPaaS players, processes more than 800 billion interactions annually and about 63% of India's A2P SMS traffic is processed through its distributed ledger platform.

The company's consolidated net profit jumped 34.8% to Rs 135.40 crore on 13.9% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 911.11 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
