Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd decreased 1.57% and JSW Steel Ltd lost 1.05% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 15.32 % over last one year compared to the 10.4% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 3.17 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.66 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 96.14 on 01 Aug 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 73.25 on 28 Sep 2022.
