Revenue from operations grew by 11.64% year on year to Rs 499.23 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2023.

Profit before tax in Q1 FY24 was at Rs 31.30 crore, registering a growth of 7.63% YoY.

Total expenses rose 13.85% YoY to Rs 513.85 during the quarter. Pay channel cost was at Rs 232.44 crore (up 35.44% YoY) while employee benefit expenses stood at Rs 26.50 crore (down 8.34% YoY) in Q1 FY24.

The company's revenue form broadband business was at Rs 156.76 crore (down 0.26% YoY) while cable television segment stood at Rs 342.47 crore (up 18.09% YoY), during the period under review.

Hathway Cable & Datacom is one of the largest multiple-system operator (MSO) and cable broadband service providers in India.

Shares of Hathway Cable & Datacom tumbled 4.37% to Rs 15.11 on the BSE.
