State Bank of India gained for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 582.45, up 1.68% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.68% on the day, quoting at 19319.2. The Sensex is at 65194.89, up 0.74%. State Bank of India has dropped around 0.81% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which State Bank of India is a constituent, has dropped around 2.5% in last one month and is currently quoting at 44747.35, up 1.02% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 81.6 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 132.32 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark July futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 584.95, up 1.6% on the day. State Bank of India is up 23.02% in last one year as compared to a 22% spurt in NIFTY and a 33.19% spurt in the Nifty Bank index.

The PE of the stock is 10.17 based on TTM earnings ending March 23.
