The company's board has given approval for setting up grain-based distillery at Nigohi Unit in Uttar Pradesh with a capacity of 250 kilo litres per day (KLPD) with a capital expenditure of Rs 400 crore.
It is expected to be commissioned by September 2024. It would be financed by debt and internal accruals. Post commissioning the project, total distillery capacity of the company would be 1100 KLPD (cane based 600 KLPD and grain based 500 KLPD).
The board has also approved capacity expansion at Ramgarh Sugar Unit of the company in Jharkhand from 6600 tons of cane per day (TCD) to 7000 TCD at a capital expenditure of Rs 14 crore. The capital expenditure will be financed by internal accruals and it is expected to be commissioned by November 2023.
Post commissioning of the said project the total crushing capacity of the company would be 38250 TCD.
Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries is mainly engaged in manufacturing of sugar, generation of power, manufacturing of Industrial alcohol and manufacturing of refractory products.
The company's consolidated net profit rose 7.2% to Rs 55.60 crore on 75.2% jump in net sales to Rs 856 crore in Q4 FY23 over Q4 FY22.
