Meanwhile, Nifty Media index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has gained around 1.78% in last one month and is currently quoting at 5330.3, up 0.94% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 173.56 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 121.75 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark March futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 279.8, up 2.47% on the day. Vedanta Ltd is down 29.77% in last one year as compared to a 3.02% slide in NIFTY and a 16.31% slide in the Nifty Media index.

The PE of the stock is 6.34 based on TTM earnings ending December 22.
