iCreate (International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology) is an autonomous centre of the Government of Gujarat and is India's largest institution for transforming start-ups based on tech innovation into successful businesses. Embedded systems and IoT are a focus area for iCreate, in domains like electric vehicles, agritech, smart cities, healthtech, industrial automation, and renewable energy, among others.

The company said that through this partnership, it will facilitate active mentorship for entrepreneurs at iCreate's campus in Ahmedabad to enhance subject matter expertise and further their technological innovations for the accelerating EV industry.

The said partnership is aligned with the vision of the government's StartupIndia program, which seeks to support entrepreneurs in building a robust startup ecosystem and transforming India into a country of job creators.

As a part of the initiative, WardWizard will nominate subject matter experts and senior leaders to identify and evaluate breakthrough innovators through bootcamps and jury rounds. Shortlisted startups recommended jointly with iCreate will stand a chance to receive funding, technological support and establish industry partnerships as per their merit and technology readiness levels (TRL), the company stated in the press release.

Speaking on the collaboration, Yatin Gupte chairman & managing director of WardWizard Innovations & Mobility, said, “Through our partnership with iCreate, we are looking to foster the exchange of ideas with promising startups and help them with our market knowledge and experience to understand the industry better. We will be working at the grass-roots level, providing the best solutions, guidance to build a strong ecosystem for them.”

WardWizard Innovations & Mobility is an auto manufacturing company in the electric vehicle (EV) segment under the brand name 'Joy e-bike'. It has footprints in more than 25 major cities across India.

On standalone basis, the company's net profit jumped 54.3% to Rs 2.50 crore on 90.7% surge in net sales to Rs 63.89 crore in Q2 FY23 over Q2 FY22.

Shares of WardWizard Innovations & Mobility fell 1.59% to Rs 58.80 on the BSE.
