Coal India Ltd rose 1.47% today to trade at Rs 182.7. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 0.44% to quote at 15965.12. The index is down 17.64 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Vedanta Ltd increased 1.1% and Tata Steel Ltd added 1.01% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 13.37 % over last one year compared to the 2.28% fall in benchmark SENSEX.

Coal India Ltd has lost 1.43% over last one month compared to 17.64% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 5.68% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 33235 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 6.96 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 209 on 22 Apr 2022. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 132.8 on 23 Aug 2021.
