The said amount of capex will be spent on installation of 20 MW solar power plant for the company's own use by Madurai and Manaparai units of spinning division of GHCL in Tamil Nadu and will contribute in its sustainable journey.
On a consolidated basis, net profit of GHCL jumped 38.5% to Rs 162.88 on 42% rise in net sales to Rs 1,004.76 crore in Q3 FY22 over Q3 FY21.
Shares of GHCL rose 0.21% to Rs 421.50 on BSE. GHCL is a diversified group with an ascertained footprint in chemicals, textiles and consumer products segment.
