Goa Carbon in a regulatory filing on Thursday (19 March 2020) announced that the operations at company's Paradeep unit located in Odisha have been resumed.
The company said that the Kiln has been lit up from yesterday, 18 March 2020. After preliminary heat up and commencement of feeding of raw material, normal production is likely to resume from 20 March 2020.
The unit had announced temporary shut-down of operations from 30 January 2020 on account of non-availability of suitable raw material.
Shares of Goa Carbon were locked in a lower circuit of 5% at Rs 133.75.
Goa Carbon is engaged in the manufacture and sale of calcined petroleum coke. The firm is a supplier to aluminum smelters, graphite electrode and titanium dioxide manufacturers, as well as other users in the metallurgical and chemical industries.
