Among the other constituents of the index, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd increased 1.58% and Bharti Infratel Ltd added 1.51% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecom index went up 12.08 % over last one year compared to the 14.18% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Reliance Communications Ltd has added 4.71% over last one month compared to 1.89% fall in S&P BSE Telecom index and 1.46% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 5800 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 33.32 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 14.93 on 31 Dec 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 0.55 on 19 Nov 2019.
