NTPC Ltd gained 2.17% today to trade at Rs 117.6. The S&P BSE Power index is up 0.97% to quote at 1931.78. The index is down 3.47 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Adani Power Ltd increased 1.38% and Tata Power Company Ltd added 1.37% on the day. The S&P BSE Power index went up 1 % over last one year compared to the 15.96% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
