The Nifty July 2023 futures closed at 19,773, a premium of 23.75 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 19,749.25 in the cash market.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 advanced 37.80 points or 0.19% to settle at 19,749.25.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 3.49% to 11.71.
HDFC Bank, Infosys and Reliance Industries (RIL) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
The July 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 27 July 2023.
