FY 17 financials include financials of EDG Germany from Oct 16 onwards and hence Sep 17 quarterly results and 6 months ended Sep 17 results and FY 17 financials are not comparable on YoY basis with Sep 16 quarter results, 6 months ended Sep 16 and FY 16 financials respectively.

For the quarter ended Sep 17, consolidated net sales stood at Rs 639.71 crore. OPM stood at 20.7% resulting an OP of Rs 132.35 crore. Other income stood at Rs 4.82 crore. Interest cost and depreciation cost stood at Rs 13.82 crore and Rs 42.46 crore respectively. PBT stood at Rs 80.89 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 28.26 crore and loss of share of associates of Rs 14 lakh, consolidated PAT for Sep 17 quarter stood at Rs 52.49 crore.

For the quarter, sales from the Amesa geography stood at Rs 236.40 crore PBIT from the same stood at 36.72 crore.

For the quarter, sales from the EAP geography stood at Rs 158.44 crore and PBIT from the same stood at Rs 29.64 crore.

For the quarter, sales from the EU geography stood at Rs 132.27 crore and PBIT from the same stood at Rs 21.14 crore.

Overall

The quarter has seen some recovery in India and healthy growth in the American region. Egypt and EAP continued to do well.

The plans are to improve EDG profitability closer to rest of EU is now almost achieved. Work is on in EU to drive growth in the non oral care category.

Overall the business growth is healthy as evidenced by constant currency revenue growth of 14.6% and PAT growth of 17.3%.

Net Debt as at Sep 17 end stood at Rs 665.30 crore as compared to Rs 703.50 crore for Mar 17.

ROE and ROCE on TTM basis is at 15.7% and 16.5% respectively.

Performance for the 6 months ended Sep 17

For the 6 months ended Sep 17, consolidated net sales stood at Rs 1200.43 crore. OPM stood at 19.5% resulting an OP of Rs 234.22 crore. Other income stood at Rs 10.79 crore. Interest cost and depreciation cost stood at Rs 27.32 crore and Rs 82.67 crore respectively. PBT stood at Rs 135.02 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 47.62 crore and loss of share of associates of Rs 62 lakh, consolidated PAT for 6 months ended Sep 17 stood at Rs 86.78 crore.

For the 6 months ended Sep 17, sales from the Amesa geography stood at Rs 478.25 crore PBIT from the same stood at 67.47 crore.

 For the 6 months ended Sep 17, sales from the EAP geography stood at Rs 291.35 crore and PBIT from the same stood at Rs 51.80 crore.

 For the 6 months ended Sep 17, sales from the EU geography stood at Rs 234.71 crore and PBIT from the same stood at Rs 28.52 crore.
