Nelcast, promoted by P.Radhakrishna Reddy, is a TS 16949 accredited organization. Established in 1985, Nelcast has since been a significant and diligent participant in the ferrous casting industry, producing superior quality castings for many industries. Today, Nelcast is one of India's largest suppliers of the finest ductile iron and grey iron castings ranging from 0.5 Kg to 260 Kg in weight.
The product range includes around 200 items in SG (Spheroidal Graphite) Iron Castings and grey iron castings. Cylinder blocks, rear hubs, spring shackle, brackets, and exhaust manifolds manufactured by the company are used in heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) and tractors.

The company has two divisions namely foundry and machining.
September 2017 quarter results
For the quarter ended September 2017, sales jumped 28% to Rs 179.73 crore. OPM fell 150 bps to 10.0% which took OP up 12% to Rs 18.05 crore. Other income grew 1 % to Rs 71 lakh and interest cost fell 45% to Rs 94 lakh. After providing for depreciation (up 22% to Rs 4.12 crore), PBT went up 16% to Rs 13.70 crore. Taxation fell 6% to Rs 3.67 crore (tax rate fell from 33.2% to 26.8%). Thus finally net profit grew 27% to Rs 10.03 crore.
It might be recalled that during the quarter ended September 2016, the company had seen 10% fall in sales to Rs 140.15 crore and 24% fall in PAT to Rs 7.87 crore
Six months results
For the six months, sales grew 10% to Rs 330.24 crore. OPM fell 60 bps to 10.1% which limited OP growth to 4% to Rs 33.30 crore. Other income grew 35 % to Rs 1.62 crore and interest cost fell 46% to Rs 1.81 crore. After providing for depreciation (up 18% to Rs 7.93 crore), PBT went up 8% to Rs 25.18 crore. Taxation fell 1% to Rs 7.47 crore (tax rate fell from 32.5% to 29.7%). Thus finally net profit grew 13% to Rs 17.71 crore.
