Swaraj Engines reported a 13% increase in net sales for June 17 quarter to Rs 193.98 crore. Company's engine sales witnessed a growth of 11.4% YoY and stood at 23287 units for June 17 quarter.
OPM was up by about 10 bps to 16.6%, thus leading a 14% rise in OP to Rs 32.28 crore. Other income was up by 3% to Rs 4.82 crore. Depreciation was higher by 7% to Rs 4.22 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 11.38 crore, up by 13%, PAT for quarter ended June 17 stood at Rs 21.50 crore as compared to PAT of Rs 19 crore for June 16 quarter.
Performance for the 12 months ended Mar 2017
Net sales for 12 months ended March 17 stood at Rs 666.14 crore up by 27% YoY. Company's engine sales witnessed a healthy growth of 28% and stood at 82297 units for 12 months ended March 17.
OPM was up by 170 bps to 15.7% resulting in a 42% increase in OP to Rs 104.68 crore. Other income was up by 5% to Rs 17.18 crore. Depreciation was up by 18% to Rs 16.28 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 36.63 crore up by 47%, PAT for the 12 months ended March 17 stood at Rs 68.83 crore up by 34%.
The company has completed the capacity enhancement project which has increased its capacity to 120000 p.a from 105000 p.a and commercialization of the same will happen in H2 of FY'18. This capacity expansion is fully financed through the internal resources.
