The net profit has declined by 3% to Rs 52.67crore due to fall in sales and declined in OPM.

For quarter ended March 2017

The net sales have decreased by 2% to Rs 204.54 crore. Total volume de-grew by 7%. Almond Drop sales declined by 2% to Rs 189.36 crore with volume de-growth of 7%.

OPM decreased by 381 bps to 32.4% due to rise in employee cost and other expenditure to adjusted net sales. As a result, the operating profit decreased by 12% to Rs 66.22 crore.

During the quarter average price of LLP decreased to Rs. 46.22/kg from Rs. 46.41/kg in corresponding quarter of previous year and average price of LLP during the whole year was Rs 45.80/kg against Rs 55.02/kg in the previous year.During the quarter average price of Refined Oil decreased to Rs 81.68/kg from Rs 86.21/kg in corresponding quarter of previous year and average price of Oil during the year was Rs79.89/kg against Rs 83.72/ kg in the previous year.

Other income declined by 65% to Rs 2.32 crore. Depreciation inclined by 14% to Rs 1.40 crore. The profit before tax and EO declined by 17% to Rs 66.87 crore

EO item for the quarter was nil against EO expense of Rs 11.75 crore in corresponding quarter of last year which is amortization cost for acquired Nomarks brands. Tax outgo decreased by 3% to Rs 14.21 crore. Tax rate was around 21.2%. The net profit has declined by 3% to Rs 52.67crore due to fall in sales and declined in OPM.

For year ended March 2017

The net sale was flat at Rs 792.54 crore. Total volume de-grew by 3%. Almond Drop sales inclined by 1% to Rs 734.57 crore while volume seen de-growth of 2%.

OPM decreased by 97 bps to 33.5% due to rise in employee cost, advertisement cost and other expenditure to adjusted net sales. As a result, the operating profit decreased by 3% to Rs 265.61 crore.

Other income inclined by 37% to Rs 39.35 crore. Depreciation inclined by 10% to Rs 4.76 crore. The profit before tax and EO flat at Rs 299.26 crore.

EO expense stood at Rs 18.38 crore which is amortization cost for acquired Nomarks brands. Tax outgo increased by 12% to Rs 59.92 crore. Tax rate was around 21.3%. The net profit has inclined by 12% to Rs 220.96 crore due to fall in EO expense.

Consolidated Performance: For year ended March 2017

The net sales flat at Rs 796.90 crore. OPM decreased by 115 bps to 33.1%. As a result, the operating profit decreased by 4% to Rs 263.59 crore.

The profit before tax and EO flat at Rs 296.63 crore. EO expense stood at Rs 18.38 crore. Tax outgo increased by 11% to Rs 60.01 crore. Tax rate was around 21.6%. The net profit has inclined by 11% to Rs 218.24 crore

Other Developments

The total Fund available with the company as on 31st March' 2017 is Rs 342.40 crore

The scrip is trading around Rs 428.85 at BSE.

The total promoters holding in the company stand at 66.86%.
