Sales for the quarter ended June 2016 grew 4% to Rs 288.13 crore. OPM improved 120 basis points from 13.8% to 14.0% which saw OP rising 13% to Rs 40.33 crore.
Raw material cost fell 5% to Rs 123.93 crore and as a % to sales it fell from 47.1% to 43.0%.
Other income grew 7% to Rs 5.48 crore. Interest cost was nil. As deprecation grew 6% to Rs 1.84 crore, PBT grew 13% to Rs 43.97 crore.
Provision for taxation grew 22% to Rs 16.47 crore. Finally PAT grew 8% to Rs 27.50 crore.
FY 2016 results
Sales for FY 2016 grew 3% to Rs 986.27 crore. OPM jumped 500 basis points from 9.1% to 14.1% which saw OP rise 59% to Rs 139.20 crore.
PBT was up 67% to Rs 155.35 crore.
EO loss was Rs 24.49 crore against a gain of Rs 150.33 crore. Thus PBT after EO had fallen 46% to Rs 130.86 crore.
EO loss for the quarter and FY 2016 included provision for loss on investment in subsidiary.
Provision for taxation had fallen 26% to Rs 53.17 crore. Finally PAT had grown 55% to Rs 77.69 crore.
