Kirloskar Pneumatic reported a 22% increase in net sales to Rs 120.20 crore. OPM jumped to 12.3% on a lower base of 4.8% for June'15 quarter, thus resulting in an OP of Rs 14.82 crore, up by 215% YoY. Other income was lower by 1% to Rs 3.10 crore. Deprecation was lower by 3% to Rs 3.96 crore, thus resulting in a PBT of Rs 13.96 crore, up by 274% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 4.47 crore, up by 567%, PAT for the June'16 quarter stood at Rs 9.49 crore, up by 210% YoY.
Segmental Performance for the quarter ended June'16
For quarter ended June'16, Compression systems segment, which contributed about 91% of total revenue, reported a 33% rise in sales to Rs 107.57 crore. Profits at PBIT level stood at Rs 21.62 crore as compared to profit at PBIT level of Rs 10.93 crore for June'15 quarter. PBIT margin stood at 20.1% for June'16 quarter.
For quarter ended June'16, Transmission segment, which contributed about 9% of total revenue, reported a 35% fall in sales to Rs 10.98 crore. Loss at PBIT level stood at Rs 1.70 crore as compared to loss at PBIT level of Rs 0.62 crore for June'15 quarter.
Performance for the year ended March'16
Standalone sales for the period ended Mar'16 were up by 16% to Rs 514.75 crore. OPM was higher by 380 bps to 10.8% resulting in a 79% increase in OP to Rs 55.52 crore. The other income was lower by 7% to Rs 15.23 crore. The depreciation was higher by 1% to Rs 19.08 crore. Thus the PBT was higher by 82% to Rs 51.65 crore. Total Tax was higher by 161% to Rs 15.27 crore, thus resulting in a PAT of Rs 36.38 crore up by 61% for the year ended Mar'16.
For the year ended Mar'16, the Compression segment reported a 17% increase in net sales to Rs 452.46 crore. The Transmission product segment saw a 3% increase in net sales to Rs 56.42 crore. PBIT for Compression segment stood at Rs 77.55 crore, up by 46% with PBIT margin at 17.1%. Loss at PBIT level for Transmission segment stood at Rs 7.22 crore as compared to loss of Rs 6.70 crore for the year ended Mar'15.
