For the quarter ended Dec'15, net sales de grew by 3% to Rs 1404.56 crore. OPM was lower by 530 bps to 19.9% resulting in a 24% decrease in OP to Rs 280.02 crore. Other income was lower by 5% to Rs 81.30 crore. Depreciation was lower by 7% to Rs 87.60 crore, thus resulting in a PBT of Rs 273.72 crore, down by 24% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 67.60 crore, up by 18% YoY, PAT for the Dec'15 quarter stood at Rs 206.12 crore, down by 32% YoY.

Segment results

For the quarter ended Dec'15, sales from EXIM segment were lower by 5% to Rs 1132.90 crore and accounted for 81% of sales. PBIT from the same de-grew 28% to Rs 209.73 crore and accounted for 98% of total.

For the quarter, sales from the Domestic segment were higher by 3% to Rs 271.66 crore and accounted for 19% of sales. PBIT from the same fell 62% to Rs 5.33 crore and accounted for 2% of total.

Performance for the 9 months ended Dec'15

For the 9 months ended Dec'15, net sales grew by 6% to Rs 4327.35 crore. OPM was lower by 360 bps to 20.4% resulting in a 10% fall in OP to Rs 883.99 crore. Other income was lower by 5% to Rs 246.91 crore. Depreciation was lower by 9% to Rs 265.82 crore, thus resulting in a PBT of Rs 865.08 crore, down by 9% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 219.15 crore, up by 14% YoY, PAT for the 9 months ended Dec'15 period stood at Rs 645.93 crore, down by 14% YoY.

Segment results

For the 9 months ended Dec'15, sales from EXIM segment increased by 8% to Rs 3526.46 crore and accounted for 81% of sales. PBIT from the same de grew 6% to Rs 660.93 crore and accounted for 98% of total.

For the 9 months ended Dec'15, sales from the Domestic segment were lower by 2% at Rs 800.86 crore and accounted for 19% of sales. PBIT from the same fell 74% to Rs 14.65 crore and accounted for 2% of total.
