Operating profit margin has jumped from 6.55% to 6.80%, leading to 21.90% rise in operating profit to Rs 456.34 crore. Employee cost increased from 0.66% to 0.68%. Other expenses fell from 92.79% to 92.53%. Other direct service cost fell from 92.08% to 91.79%. Other income rose 9.47% to Rs 280.3 crore. PBIDT rose 16.85% to Rs 736.64 crore. Provision for interest rose 2.77% to Rs 150.36 crore. PBDT rose 21.10% to Rs 586.28 crore. Provision for depreciation fell 24.83% to Rs 4.39 crore. Profit before tax grew 21.67% to Rs 581.89 crore. Share of profit/loss was 141.69% higher at Rs 43.07 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 146.56 crore, compared to Rs 136.84 crore. Effective tax rate was 23.45% compared to 27.58%. Inventories rose to Rs 64.72 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 58.93 crore as of 31 March 2023. Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 1,077.38 crore as of 31 March 2024 compared to Rs 969.30 crore as of 31 March 2023. Cash and bank balance rose to Rs 3,112.64 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 1,853.31 crore as of 31 March 2023. Investments rose to Rs 2,405.17 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 1,903.76 crore as of 31 March 2023 . PBDT rose 18.56% to Rs 1969.91 crore. Provision for depreciation fell 6.18% to Rs 20.94 crore. Fixed assets increased to Rs 451.53 crore as of 31 March 2024 from Rs 341.29 crore as of 31 March 2023. Intangible assets declined from Rs 14.73 crore to Rs 8.86 crore. Profit before tax grew 18.90% to Rs 1,948.97 crore. Share of profit/loss was 30.99% higher at Rs 104.94 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 479.44 crore, compared to Rs 377.53 crore. Effective tax rate was 23.34% compared to 21.96%. Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 17.34% to Rs 1,574.47 crore. Equity capital stood at Rs 2,085.02 crore as of 31 March 2024 to Rs 2,085.02 crore as of 31 March 2023. Per share face Value remained same at Rs 10.00. Promoters’ stake was 72.84% as of 31 March 2024 ,compared to 78.20% as of 31 March 2023 . Cash flow from operating activities has turned positive Rs 2,954.43 crore for year ended March 2024 from negative Rs 4,063.97 crore for year ended March 2023. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended March 2024 stood at Rs 340.43 crore, compared to Rs 61.19 crore during the year ended March 2023.
