Petronet LNG consolidated
net sales declined 6.52% to Rs 14747.21 crore during Q3FY24 compared to Q3FY23.
Operating profit margin has jumped from 10.62% to 11.56%, leading to 1.82% rise
in operating profit to Rs 1,705.44 crore.
Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments)
decreased from 87.83% to 85.56%.
Employee cost increased from 0.29% to 0.34%. Other expenses rose from 1.26% to
2.53%.
Other income fell 12.85% to
Rs 156.55 crore. PBIDT rose 0.40% to Rs
1861.99 crore. Provision for interest
fell 14.36% to Rs 69.67 crore.
PBDT rose 1.08% to Rs
1792.32 crore. Provision for
depreciation rose 1.64% to Rs 195.48 crore.
Profit before tax grew
1.01% to Rs 1,596.84 crore. Share of profit/loss
was 10.53% higher at Rs 22.68 crore.
Provision for tax was expense of Rs 406.54 crore, compared to Rs 404.93
crore. Effective tax rate was 25.10%
compared to 25.29%.
Minority interest was nil
in both the periods. Net profit
attributable to owners of the company increased 1.38% to Rs 1,212.98
crore.
Promoters’ stake was 50.00%
as of 31 December 2023 ,compared to 50.00% as of 31 December 2022 .
For year-to-date (YTD) results analysis
Net sales (including other
operating income) of Petronet LNG has declined 15.40% to Rs 38936.16
crore. Operating profit margin has
jumped from 8.50% to 10.53%, leading to 4.87% rise in operating profit to Rs
4,101.88 crore. Raw material cost as a %
of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 89.77% to 87.39%. Employee cost increased from 0.29% to
0.38%. Other expenses rose from 1.44%
to 1.70%.
Other income rose 16.10% to
Rs 454.82 crore. PBIDT rose 5.89% to Rs
4556.7 crore. Provision for interest
fell 8.90% to Rs 218.92 crore.
PBDT rose 6.77% to Rs
4337.78 crore. Provision for
depreciation rose 1.11% to Rs 582.14 crore.
Profit before tax grew
7.70% to Rs 3,755.64 crore. Share of
profit/loss was 13.94% lower at Rs 95.06 crore.
Provision for tax was expense of Rs 962.7 crore, compared to Rs 890.55
crore. Effective tax rate was 25.00%
compared to 24.75%.
Minority interest was nil
in both the periods. Net profit
attributable to owners of the company increased 6.69% to Rs 2,888.00
crore.
Promoters’ stake was 50.00%
as of 31 December 2023 compared to 50.00% as of 31 December 2022.
