Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Voltamp Transformers for the quarter ended Mar 2023 has increased 13.60% to Rs 439.86 crore. Operating profit margin has jumped from 17.23% to 21.10%, leading to 39.14% rise in operating profit to Rs 92.82 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 72.86% to 68.56%. Employee cost decreased from 2.30% to 2.28%. Other expenses fell from 6.22% to 5.99%. Other income up 38.67% to Rs 10.83 crore. PBIDT rose 39.09% to Rs 103.65 crore. Provision for interest remained nil. PBDT rose 39.21% to Rs 103.42 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 16.29% to Rs 2.57 crore. Profit before tax grew 39.91% to Rs 100.85 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 24.28 crore, compared to Rs 20.22 crore. Operating profit margin has jumped from 12.33% to 16.67%, leading to 66.09% rise in operating profit to Rs 230.87 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 78.46% to 74.49%. Employee cost decreased from 3.35% to 2.90%. Other expenses fell from 6.21% to 5.89%. Other income fell 6.68% to Rs 40.08 crore. PBIDT rose 48.91% to Rs 270.95 crore. Provision for interest up 11.25% to Rs 0.89 crore. PBDT rose 49.08% to Rs 270.06 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 22.04% to Rs 9.69 crore. Profit before tax grew 50.32% to Rs 260.37 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 60.43 crore, compared to Rs 40.37 crore. Effective tax rate was 23.21% compared to 23.31%. Profit after tax rose 50.51% to Rs 199.94 crore. t 10 each for the financial year ended 31st March, 2023. In addition, the Board of Directors has also recommend payment ofone
time special dividend@ 200% i.e. Rs.20 per equity share, to commemorate successful completion of 60 years in transformer
business. With that total dividend recommended by Board of Directors is 600%, i.e. Rs.60 per equity share of Rs.10 each, for the
financial year ended 31st March, 2023 subject to approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. Equity capital stood at Rs 10.12 crore as of 31 March 2023 to Rs 10.12 crore as of 31 March 2022. Per share face Value remained same at Rs 10.00. Promoters’ stake was 50.00% as of 31 March 2023 ,compared to 50.00% as of 31 March 2022 . Loan funds remained nil. Inventories declined from Rs 209.37 crore as of 31 March 2022 to Rs 174.77 crore as of 31 March 2023. Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 226.42 crore as of 31 March 2023 compared to Rs 190.45 crore as of 31 March 2022. Cash and bank balance rose to Rs 17.91 crore as of 31 March 2023 from Rs 13.47 crore as of 31 March 2022. Investments rose to Rs 717.61 crore as of 31 March 2023 from Rs 561.27 crore as of 31 March 2022 . Fixed assets declined from Rs 68.88 crore as of 31 March 2022 to Rs 67.20 crore as of 31 March 2023. Intangible assets declined from Rs 0.41 crore to Rs 0.36 crore. Cash flow from operating activities increased to Rs 167.97 crore for year ended March 2023 from Rs 65.57 crore for year ended March 2022. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended March 2023 stood at Rs 8.16 crore, compared to Rs 18.63 crore during the year ended March 2022.
