Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Indian Hume Pipe Company for the quarter ended Dec 2022 has declined 3.98% to Rs 404.74 crore. Provision for interest up 19.77% to Rs 17.75 crore. PBDT fell 18.25% to Rs 20.51 crore. Provision for depreciation down 12.03% to Rs 3.95 crore. Profit before tax down 19.61% to Rs 16.56 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 3.91 crore, compared to Rs 5.39 crore. Effective tax rate was 23.61% compared to 26.17%. Profit after tax fell 16.83% to Rs 12.65 crore. Nine month performance Net sales (including other operating income) of Indian Hume Pipe Company has declined 3.54% to Rs 1,088.68 crore. Operating profit margin has declined from 9.21% to 8.48%, leading to 11.14% decline in operating profit to Rs 92.34 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 6.29% to 2.20%. Employee cost increased from 5.16% to 5.39%. Other expenses rose from 79.40% to 83.91%. Construction development cost rose from 76.03% to 80.51%. Other direct service cost fell from 0.76% to 0.49%. Other income up 537.66% to Rs 20.15 crore. PBIDT rose 5.05% to Rs 112.49 crore. Provision for interest up 12.66% to Rs 48.32 crore. PBDT fell 0.03% to Rs 64.17 crore. Provision for depreciation down 9.67% to Rs 11.68 crore. Profit before tax grew 2.40% to Rs 52.49 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 12.8 crore, compared to Rs 13.25 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.39% compared to 25.85%. Profit after tax rose 4.42% to Rs 39.69 crore.

The estimated balance value of the work as at January 31, 2023 is Rs 3477.23 crores as against Rs 4149.62 crores as at January 31, 2022.

Promoters’ stake was 69.92% as of 31 December 2022 ,compared to 69.92% as of 31 December 2021 . Promoters pledged stake was 30.02% as of 31 December 2022 ,compared to 26.82% as of 31 December 2021 .
