Net sales (including other operating income) of Page Industries has increased
2.81% to Rs 1,223.26 crore.
Operating profit margin has declined
from 21.07% to 15.76%, leading to 23.12% decline in operating profit to Rs
192.76 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock
adjustments) increased from 26.93% to 27.67%. Purchase of finished
goods cost rose from 20.02% to 26.86%. Employee cost decreased from
15.91% to 15.24%. Other expenses rose from 16.14% to 16.55%.
Other income fell 77.03% to Rs 1.64
crore. PBIDT fell 24.61% to Rs 194.4 crore. Provision for
interest up 28.85% to Rs 9.96 crore.
PBDT fell 26.26% to Rs 184.44
crore. Provision for depreciation rose 19.58% to Rs 19.97
crore.
Profit before tax down 29.54% to Rs
164.47 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 40.74 crore,
compared to Rs 58.86 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.77% compared
to 25.22%.
Profit after tax fell 29.12% to Rs
123.73 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 46.12% as of 31
December 2022 ,compared to 47.19% as of 31 December 2021 .
For year-to-date (YTD) results analysis
Net sales (including other operating income) of Page Industries has increased
37.62% to Rs 3,819.55 crore.
Operating profit margin has jumped
from 18.68% to 19.07%, leading to 40.52% rise in operating profit to Rs 728.42
crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock
adjustments) increased from 25.39% to 26.94%. Purchase of finished
goods cost rose from 20.52% to 25.79%. Employee cost decreased from
18.52% to 15.08%. Other expenses fell from 17.09% to 15.57%.
Other income fell 52.59% to Rs 7.61
crore. PBIDT rose 37.73% to Rs 736.03 crore. Provision
for interest up 22.77% to Rs 27.66 crore.
PBDT rose 38.38% to Rs 708.37
crore. Provision for depreciation rose 15.64% to Rs 56.8
crore.
Profit before tax grew 40.80% to Rs
651.57 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 158.67 crore, compared
to Rs 116.76 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.35% compared to
25.23%.
Profit after tax rose 42.45% to Rs
492.90 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 46.12% as of 31
December 2022 ,compared to 47.19% as of 31 December 2021 .
Full year results analysis
Net sales (including other operating income) of Page Industries has increased
37.19% to Rs 3,886.46 crore.
Operating profit margin has jumped
from 18.59% to 20.21%, leading to 49.16% rise in operating profit to Rs 785.46
crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock
adjustments) increased from 22.19% to 24.77%. Purchase of finished
goods cost rose from 18.30% to 21.71%. Employee cost decreased from
21.38% to 17.70%. Other expenses fell from 18.16% to 16.51%.
Other income up 7.76% to Rs 20.98
crore. PBIDT rose 47.68% to Rs 806.44 crore. Provision
for interest up 8.27% to Rs 32.2 crore. Loan funds declined from Rs
127.05 crore as of 31 March 2021 to Rs 109.91 crore as of 31 March
2022. Inventories rose to Rs 974.87 crore as of 31 March 2022 from
Rs 554.93 crore as of 31 March 2021. Sundry debtors were higher at
Rs 165.08 crore as of 31 March 2022 compared to Rs 137.12 crore as of 31 March
2021. Cash and bank balance declined from Rs 435.00 crore as of 31 March
2021 to Rs 283.46 crore as of 31 March 2022.
PBDT rose 49.95% to Rs 774.24
crore. Provision for depreciation rose 4.07% to Rs 65.47
crore. Fixed assets increased to Rs 465.70 crore as of 31 March 2022
from Rs 411.83 crore as of 31 March 2021. Intangible assets declined
from Rs 2.32 crore to Rs 1.97 crore.
Profit before tax grew 56.32% to Rs
708.77 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 172.24 crore,
compared to Rs 112.84 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.30% compared
to 24.89%.
Profit after tax rose 57.53% to Rs
536.53 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 47.19% as of 31
March 2022 ,compared to 48.32% as of 31 March 2021 .
Cash flow from operating activities
decreased to Rs 326.91 crore for year ended March 2022 from Rs 695.89 crore for
year ended March 2021. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets
during the year ended March 2022 stood at Rs 97.96 crore, compared to Rs 15.33
crore during the year ended March 2021.
Others:
The Board of Directors of the
company has declared 3 rd interim dividend for FY2022-23 of Rs 60/- per equity
share.

Director, Mr. V. S. Ganesh said, “The growth momentum through
the nine months is encouraging. We are confident of our long-term growth on
the back of consumption, industry and economic drivers.
We
continue to focus on general trade distribution, expansion of EBOs, enhancing
customer experience, further strengthening the product portfolio and
keeping our supply chain robust.
