Other income rose 84.74% to Rs 19.01 crore.  PBIDT fell 5.89% to Rs 90.05 crore.  Provision for interest rose 4% to Rs 1.3 crore.  PBDT fell 6.02% to Rs 88.75 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 1.18% to Rs 10.31 crore.  Profit before tax down 6.90% to Rs 78.44 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 19.63 crore, compared to Rs 20.87 crore.  Effective tax rate was 25.03% compared to 24.35%. Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company decreased 9.30% to Rs 58.81 crore.  

Half yearly performance  

Net sales (including other operating income) of Techno Electric & Engineering Company has declined 13.39% to Rs 400.99 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 30.37% to 29.61%, leading to 15.54% decline in operating profit to Rs 118.75 crore.  Employee cost increased from 3.45% to 4.55%.   Other expenses fell from 67.79% to 66.89%.   Selling and administration expenses fell from 61.81% to 59.27%.   Construction development cost fell from 61.81% to 59.27%.   Other income rose 16.61% to Rs 32.02 crore.  PBIDT fell 10.29% to Rs 150.77 crore.  Provision for interest fell 9.30% to Rs 2.73 crore.   PBDT fell 10.31% to Rs 148.04 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 0.24% to Rs 20.61 crore.   Profit before tax down 11.81% to Rs 127.43 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 33.07 crore, compared to Rs 35.57 crore.  Effective tax rate was 25.95% compared to 24.12%. Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company decreased 15.70% to Rs 94.36 crore.  

Equity capital decreased from Rs 22.00 crore as of 30 September 2021 to Rs 21.99 crore as of 30 September 2022 .  Per share face Value remained same at Rs 2.00.  

Promoters’ stake was 60.20% as of 30 September 2022 ,compared to 60.18% as of 30 September 2021 .
