Half yearly performance

Net sales   has increased 38.28% to Rs 587.78 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 8.91% to 14.06%, leading to 118.13% rise in operating profit to Rs 82.65 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 82.76% to 79.28%.   Employee cost decreased from 3.51% to 3.02%.   Other expenses fell from 6.11% to 5.54%.   Other income fell 43.56% to Rs 15.51 crore.  PBIDT rose 50.16% to Rs 98.16 crore.  Provision for interest up 37.50% to Rs 0.44 crore.  PBDT rose 50.22% to Rs 97.72 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 22.93% to Rs 4.61 crore.  Profit before tax grew 51.89% to Rs 93.11 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 20.49 crore, compared to Rs 10.44 crore.  Effective tax rate was 22.01% compared to 17.03%. Profit after tax rose 42.78% to Rs 72.62 crore.
