For
the quarter ending sept 2022, standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care has declined 1.27% to Rs 1,044.89 crore compared to quarter ended sept 2021. Operating profit margin has declined from 28.47% to 20.48%, leading to 28.99% decline in operating profit to Rs 213.98 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 32.33% to 24.45%. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 1.31% to 19.41%. Employee cost decreased from 5.29% to 4.71%. Other expenses fell from 32.67% to 31.79%. Selling and administration expenses rose from 11.63% to 14.29%. Other income up 16.03% to Rs 6.73 crore. PBIDT fell 28.14% to Rs 220.71 crore. Provision for interest up 61.02% to Rs 0.95 crore.
PBDT fell 28.31% to Rs 219.76 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 10.01% to Rs 13.96 crore.
Profit before tax down 29.96% to Rs 205.80 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 51.39 crore, compared to Rs 75.55 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.97% compared to 25.71%.
Profit after tax fell 29.26% to Rs 154.41 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 70.64% as of 30 September 2022 ,compared to 70.64% as of 30 September 2021 .
Full year results analysis
Net sales (including other operating income) of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care has increased 9.14% to Rs 3,900.92 crore. Operating profit margin has declined from 24.74% to 21.27%, leading to 6.15% decline in operating profit to Rs 829.89 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 31.48% to 32.26%. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 1.15% to 7.82%. Employee cost decreased from 5.63% to 5.49%. Other expenses fell from 37.07% to 33.20%. Selling and administration expenses fell from 14.58% to 12.06%. Other income fell 38.24% to Rs 24.32 crore. PBIDT fell 7.52% to Rs 854.21 crore. Provision for interest up 83.14% to Rs 11.19 crore. Loan funds rose to Rs 5.10 crore as of 30 June 2022 from Rs 3.47 crore as of 30 June 2021. Inventories declined from Rs 249.30 crore as of 30 June 2021 to Rs 234.02 crore as of 30 June 2022. Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 190.75 crore as of 30 June 2022 compared to Rs 142.35 crore as of 30 June 2021. Cash and bank balance declined from Rs 660.24 crore as of 30 June 2021 to Rs 639.25 crore as of 30 June 2022.
PBDT fell 8.12% to Rs 843.02 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 10.95% to Rs 52.88 crore. Fixed assets declined from Rs 221.39 crore as of 30 June 2021 to Rs 207.56 crore as of 30 June 2022.
Profit before tax down 9.17% to Rs 790.14 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 214.39 crore, compared to Rs 218.1 crore. Effective tax rate was 27.13% compared to 25.07%.
Profit after tax fell 11.67% to Rs 575.75 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 70.64% as of 30 June 2022 ,compared to 70.64% as of 30 June 2021 .
Cash flow from operating activities decreased to Rs 573.10 crore for year ended June 2022 from Rs 863.12 crore for year ended June 2021. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended June 2022 stood at Rs 49.80 crore, compared to Rs 31.60 crore during the year ended June 2021.
