Net sales
(including other operating income) of Page Industries has increased 28.34% to
Rs 1,189.80 crore.
Operating profit margin has declined
from 24.39% to 21.07%, leading to 10.87% rise in operating profit to Rs 250.72
crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock
adjustments) increased from 21.00% to 26.93%. Purchase of finished
goods cost rose from 19.95% to 20.02%. Employee cost decreased from
16.79% to 15.91%. Other expenses fell from 16.28% to 16.14%.
Other income up 72.05% to Rs 7.14
crore. PBIDT rose 11.98% to Rs 257.86 crore. Provision
for interest up 4.60% to Rs 7.73 crore.
PBDT rose 12.22% to Rs 250.13
crore. Provision for depreciation rose 6.85% to Rs 16.7
crore.
Profit before tax grew 12.63% to Rs
233.43 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 58.86 crore,
compared to Rs 53.56 crore. Effective tax rate was 25.22% compared
to 25.84%.
Profit after tax rose 13.58% to Rs
174.57 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 47.19% as of 31
December 2021 ,compared to 48.32% as of 31 December 2020 .
Year-to-date (YTD) results analysis
Net sales (including other operating income) of Page Industries has increased
42.17% to Rs 2,775.35 crore.
Operating profit margin has jumped
from 18.28% to 18.68%, leading to 45.29% rise in operating profit to Rs 518.37
crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock
adjustments) increased from 21.40% to 25.39%. Purchase of finished
goods cost rose from 18.31% to 20.52%. Employee cost decreased from
22.66% to 18.52%. Other expenses fell from 17.37% to 17.09%.
Other income up 15.30% to Rs 16.05
crore. PBIDT rose 44.17% to Rs 534.42 crore. Provision
for interest fell 0.22% to Rs 22.53 crore.
PBDT rose 47.04% to Rs 511.89
crore. Provision for depreciation rose 3.78% to Rs 49.12
crore.
Profit before tax grew 53.85% to Rs
462.77 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 116.76 crore,
compared to Rs 75.77 crore. Effective tax rate was 25.23% compared
to 25.19%.
Profit after tax rose 53.77% to Rs
346.01 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 47.19% as of 31
December 2021 ,compared to 48.32% as of 31 December 2020 .
Full year results analysis
Net sales (including other operating income) of Page Industries has declined
3.82% to Rs 2,832.96 crore.
Operating profit margin has jumped
from 18.08% to 18.59%, leading to 1.12% decline in operating profit to Rs
526.60 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock
adjustments) decreased from 22.33% to 22.19%. Purchase of finished
goods cost fell from 21.84% to 18.30%. Employee cost increased from
18.16% to 21.38%. Other expenses fell from 19.48% to 18.16%.
Other income fell 20.98% to Rs 19.47
crore. PBIDT fell 2% to Rs 546.07 crore. Provision for
interest fell 12.17% to Rs 29.74 crore. Loan funds declined from Rs
165.17 crore as of 31 March 2020 to Rs 127.05 crore as of 31 March
2021. Inventories declined from Rs 718.57 crore as of 31 March 2020
to Rs 554.93 crore as of 31 March 2021. Sundry debtors were higher
at Rs 137.12 crore as of 31 March 2021 compared to Rs 73.78 crore as of 31
March 2020. Cash and bank balance rose to Rs 435.00 crore as of 31
March 2021 from Rs 116.92 crore as of 31 March 2020.
PBDT fell 1.35% to Rs 516.33 crore. Provision
for depreciation rose 2.53% to Rs 62.91 crore. Fixed assets declined
from Rs 430.95 crore as of 31 March 2020 to Rs 411.83 crore as of 31 March
2021. Intangible assets declined from Rs 3.30 crore to Rs 2.32 crore.
Profit before tax down 1.86% to Rs
453.42 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 112.84 crore,
compared to Rs 118.79 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.89% compared
to 25.71%.
Profit after tax fell 0.77% to Rs
340.58 crore.
Promoters’ stake was 48.32% as of 31
March 2021 ,compared to 48.32% as of 31 March 2020 .
Cash flow from operating activities
increased to Rs 695.89 crore for year ended March 2021 from Rs 516.69 crore for
year ended March 2020. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets
during the year ended March 2021 stood at Rs 15.33 crore, compared to Rs 74.74
crore during the year ended March 2020.
Others:
Dividend: The Board of Directors of the
company has declared 3 rd interim dividend for FY2021-22 of Rs 100/- per equity
share. Record date fixed for the payment of interim dividend is Feb 18,2022 .

Commenting on the results, Managing Director, Mr. Sunder
Genomal said, “As we announce yet another best quarter with our highest-ever
revenue and PAT, I am pleased to share that the sales momentum has picked up
significantly across all our product categories backed by expansion in our
portfolio and existing network. We are well poised on a growth trajectory and
remain optimistic on delivering sustainable growth over the long-term.
E-commerce continues
to witness an increasing trend and our investments in warehousing, technology
and logistics support helped not only in strong execution but also in
delivering profitable growth. With a strong and proven business model, wide
product portfolio, efficient financial management and a very loyal customer
base, we remain committed to continue creating value for our
stakeholders.”
