Lower OI drags net down 18% despite OP up 107%

Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Voltamp Transformers for the quarter ended Jun 2021 has increased 124% to Rs 161.86 crore. Operating profit margin has jumped from 4.3% to 4.0%, leading to 107% rise in operating profit to Rs 6.49 crore. Other income (net of FVTPL) fell 40% to Rs 13.31 crore. PBIDT fell 22% to Rs 19.80 crore. Provision for interest remained nil. PBDT fell 22% to Rs 19.80 crore. Provision for depreciation down 15% to Rs 1.85 crore. Profit before tax down 22% to Rs 17.96 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 2.17 crore, compared to Rs 3.82 crore. Effective tax rate was 12.08% compared to 16.53%. Profit after tax fell 18% to Rs 15.79 crore.

Promoters’ stake was 50.00% as of 30 June 2021, compared to 50.00% as of 30 June 2020. .
