The massive infrastructure development programme will push up the real estate sector
Nikhil Mansukhani, Director of MAN Infraprojects

Commenting on Union Budget 2009-10, Nikhil Mansukhani, Director of MAN Infraprojects said, “Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has made a successful attempt to bridge the gap between urban and rural India by undertaking massive infrastructure development across the country. Though, the finance minister did not make any major announcement for the real estate sector, he has concentrated on overall economical growth. We are sure that the massive infrastructure development programme would certainly push up the real estate sector.

The industry was expecting that the finance minister may extend external commercial borrowing scheme to the entire real estate sector in view of moderate international costs of borrowing. However, it didn't come through his budget. More allocation towards the infrastructure development in Mumbai is one of the welcome measures”.
