Switzerland based Trailer and Gangotri Textiles’s‘Tibre' are forming a strategic alliance for joint marketing and joint company branding both in Europe as well as in Asia.
Trailer based in Switzerland was established in the year 1990 whose annual turnover is 20 Million US$. The company's product line includes jeans, T-shirts and fashions for men and women. They are present across the following places viz., Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden & Denmark. They have their own 18 showrooms and their products are available in 250 multi-brand outlets in Europe. In India they have their knitting manufacturing units & for woven in South China.
"Tibre" is a well-established upcoming brand from Gangotri Textiles based in Coimbatore. Gangotri Textiles annual turnover for the year 2004-05 was 40 Million US$. Tibre is presently selling across 12 States and 3 Union territories through 750 multi brand outlets in India. Tibre intends to bring men's shirts and women's wear also. Tibre intends to take its brand national and then international.
Now both "trailer" and "tibre" which compliment each other and give larger choice to customer are joining hand together. Trailer and tibre will open exclusive retail outlets in Europe and Asia including India, which will retail both tibre and trailer brand.
Apart from complementing existing product line, a new brand line will be launched by Trailer and Gangotri Textiles to take advantage of emerging business opportunities due to globalisation.
The Gangotri Textiles has chalked an expansion project at a cost of Rs 351 crore. It covers expansion-cum-integration of facilities in spinning, weaving, processing, garmenting and installation of windmills. The company plans to finance the project through a term loan of Rs 273 crore, Rs 55 crore through a public issue and Rs 23 crore through Internal accruals. With this expansion-cum-integration plan the company will become a fully integrated unit from spinning to garmenting.
