Ahluwalia Contracts firms up after securing new orders
Ahluwalia Contracts (India) rose 5.83% to Rs 337 at 12:20 IST on BSE after the company announced that it has secured new orders aggregating to around Rs 310.99 crore.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 16 November 2017.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 270 points or 0.82% at 33,030.44. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index advanced 147.80 points or 0.86% at 17,421.20, outperforming the Sensex.

On the BSE, 6,356 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 7,826 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 339.50 and a low of Rs 316.40 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 409 on 11 May 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 236 on 11 August 2017.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 15 November 2017, advancing 8.46% compared with the Sensex's 1.01% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market over the past one quarter gaining 18.96% as against the Sensex's 4.17% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market over the past one year advancing 27.61% as against the Sensex's 24.54% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 13.40 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) has secured new orders aggregating to around Rs 310.99 crore for construction of institutional, hospital & commercial including electrical, plumbing & firefighting services.

New order worth of Rs 170.99 crore is for construction of 300 beds hospital in existing premises of ESIC Hospital Kolkata and worth Rs 140 crore for other construction work.

The company is currently a lowest bidder, L1 in project valued around Rs 315 crore & the projects bedded under pipeline are Rs 1600 crore. The total order inflow during the FY 2017-18 stands at Rs 866.76 crore.

The company announces its Q2 results today, 16 November 2017. Ahluwalia Contracts (India)'s net profit rose 35.3% to Rs 29.52 crore on 64.6% growth in net sales to Rs 504.20 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.
