The scrip had outperformed the market in the one month to 12 December 2007, gaining 42.07% as against the Sensex's 8.75 % gain. It had also outperformed the market in the past three months, jumping 41.13% against the Sensex's 31.41% rise.
The mid-cap telephone and electric cables maker has an equity capital of Rs 30.59 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
At the current price of Rs 111.50, the scrip trades at a PE multiple of 15.90, based on Q2 September 2007 annualised EPS of Rs 7.01.
Finolex Cables’ net profit rose 24.70% to Rs 26.80 crore on 21% rise in sales to Rs 334.06 crore in Q2 September 2007 over Q2 September 2006.
The company manufactures and distributes a wide range of communication and electrical cables.
